I live my message
every day: I was trapped
in the “rat race” of
the corporate world. I found a way out and created my ideal life.
I’ve helped others do the exact same thing. I don’t just
talk about living a passionate, fulfilled life—I live it every
day. And I know you can too. Consider me if you want someone who
has “been there, done that” and can show you how!
I combine the “mind” of
consulting with the “heart” of
coaching. You want a coach who is smart, can “get” you
in an instant, and has experienced a lot in life (hopefully
saving YOU a few steps!). At the same time, it's important to have
a coach you can trust and feel absolutely comfortable working with.
I create a safe, relaxed, totally supportive environment so my clients
can get the most from their coaching.
I have worked in a
variety of industries (banking, property management,
telecom, information technology, to name a few), in
a variety of capacities (owner, project manager,
client manager, to name a few), and
in a variety of organizational structures (from solopreneur
to Fortune 500). I understand what it’s
like to feel like your life is over: over-worked, over-whelmed,
and over–committed! I combine my understanding of the hard facts
of business with the empowering approach of coaching. You’ll
find a safe environment to dream, brainstorm, role-play, or just
let your ideas out. We’ll take those rough ideas and find
a way to make them work in the “real world.”
I believe in the highest
standards of coaching. I am one of only a few coaches in the world certified by both independent
American coach certification organizations, the International Coach
Federation (ICF) and the International Association of Coaches (IAC).
Many coaches are “certified” by the coach training
school they attended, but not by independent organizations whose
sole purpose is coaching quality. To continually add to my skills,
I regularly attend coach training and read on a variety of subjects.
I am a Results Coach for the Anthony Robbins Coaching organization,
which involves rigorous and ongoing training.
I’m fun to work with! Life is already too serious. I believe
that we’re more confident, creative, and motivated when we
approach things lightly. My goal during a coaching session is to
leave my client energized, inspired, and ready to take on the world.
I’m
focused on creating results. My specialty is coaching business
professionals who are ready and willing to live an
exceptional life, passionately. My clients are people who want
to change their lives and are ready to take action.
I guide my
clients to create results through the following four steps:
Developing Awareness:
My clients realize
that going through the habitual patterns of daily life won’t
get them to the life of their dreams. My job is to help you understand
what blocks or slows you down, and to assist you to recognize and
use your strengths, motivations, and passions. See how it is possible
to bring passion and joy into your work and your life! Realize
you are a unique, special, and enormously talented individual with
gifts to bring to the world.
Exploring Alternatives:
I assist my clients to understand alternatives
and possibilities they are unable to see on their own. With creative
problem solving, we find new ways of thinking and behaving that enable
you to map out an environment and lifestyle more likely to result
in personal and professional success. By seeing the wealth of available
alternatives, you are more likely to overcome your fears and move
toward what is really possible in life.
Taking Action:
All
the thinking and planning in the world doesn’t
matter if it doesn’t result in action. I give my clients support,
encouragement, and accountability to take specific and sustained
action. It might be “micro–actions,” very small
steps to build momentum in a particularly challenging area. Or it
could be a huge leap that you wouldn’t have the courage to
take on your own, without strong support and caring. Working with
you to evaluate the results of your actions, we can build your momentum
and confidence through your successes.
Sustaining The Changes:
It can be so disappointing to begin the process of change, only to
later lose momentum and let the progress slip away. I believe this
happens not through the “failure” of the person, but
through the failure to establish an environment of support and
encouragement. We all know we’re more likely to follow through
with something if we’re accountable to someone else, and
if the process is easy. Why rely on struggle and willpower when
it’s so much easier to just set up a powerful, supportive
environment?! Together we will set up a “no fail environment” for
success. We’ll use the way you work best to develop systems
and actions to make action easy and sustainable. I’ll
show you ways to keep your focus and momentum strong!

I live in the Denver, Colorado area with
my wonderful husband of 23 years, Joel, and my “business
partner,” Springer Spaniel dog Rusty.
I have a passion for nature, so I love hiking in the nearby Rocky
Mountains or scuba diving in distant oceans. I also believe in
contributing to organizations I believe in, so I am active in Toastmasters,
the Denver Coach Federation, and my church.
I combine a variety of disciplines, resources, and perspectives. I
have my B.S. and MBA degrees from the University of Colorado, and
30 years of experience in the business world. For several years
I worked on international projects, including such diverse locations
and cultures as Germany, Hong Kong, and Sweden.
My coaching background includes
graduation from CoachU, one of the premier coach training organizations.
I also attended training through Coachville, another coaching industry
leader. I am a Certified Coach through the International Association
of Coaches (IAC) and became a certifying coach for that organization
in 2005. I also have an Associate Certified Coach designation through
the International Coach Federation (ICF). In 2005 I became a Results
Coach for the Anthony Robbins coaching organization, receiving
extensive training in Robbins’ powerful tools and philosophies.
In 2004 I was an examiner for the Colorado Performance Excellence
Organization, which is a Colorado non-profit organization patterned
after the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award program. I am
qualified to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
and MAPP (Motivational Appraisal of Personal Potential) assessments.
I belong to the Colorado Chapter of the National Speakers Association.
I read avidly and meet people wherever I go. I bring a wide array
of knowledge, concepts, and resources to my clients.
The common thread for me in all of the activities above? A passion
for making a difference in peoples’ lives, and in the humanity
and quality of the working world. What
does all this mean to you? It means I will bring the very best
that I can to our coaching relationship. It means that you can
count on me for more than some good questions and reflective listening. You
can count on me to provide insightful, clear ideas and resources
to help make our coaching fun and effective for you.
